Richmond, Va. – Led by
Faith Willenbrock's three home runs, the Millersville University softball team swept Virginia Union by scores of 11-3 and 12-1 with both games ending in the fifth via eight-run rule.
Willenbrock has been a Marauder for barely more than one season, but her trio of bombs on Saturday boosted her career total to 17 and moving her past former PSAC East Player of the Year
Brittany Smith '17.
The Marauders totaled 23 hits on the day, and recorded a season-high 12 RBIs in game. Willenbrock went 5-for-7 on the day while
Maggie Murphy went 2-for-3 in both games.
Millersville improved to 6-3 with the wins.
GAME ONE RECAP
• Millersville scored at least one run in all five innings, including four in the third. Willenbrock got the scoring started with a RBI double in the first and added solo homers in the fourth and fifth. Willenbrock went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs. Her homer in the fifth put the Marauders up eight and in position to end the game early.

Emma Bevard got the start and the win, throwing two shutout innings with three strikeouts and one hit allowed.
Paige Harris made her second appearance of the season and worked three innings.

Allie Janowiak added three RBIs and reached base three times on a single and two walks.
GAME TWO RECAP
• A home run barrage helped Millersville score all 12 runs in the first four innings. Murphy hit a three-run blast in the first,
Brittany Little and
Rebecca Blatt both hit three-run homers in the fourth, and Willenbrock capped the nine-run fourth with a solo shot.
• Every hitter in the Marauder lineup recorded at least one hit.
Brianna Battavio,
Alexis Staniec, Blatt and Murphy all had two. Six players drove in at least one run.

Catherine Johnson started, worked three innings and got the win, striking out five while giving up just one run on two hits--both in the second inning.
Maddie Guinane struck out a pair in two hitless frames.
