Box Score Millersville, Pa. - Despite strong performances from
Carlos Martinez-Lucas and
Peter Landis, the Millersville University men's tennis team lost to Post University on Wednesday afternoon, 5-2.
The Marauders fall to 2-12, while the Eagles improve to 8-4.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Martinez-Lucas and Landis teamed up for a 6-3 win at flight one doubles.
• The duo also won their respective singles matches. Martinez-Lucas cruised to a 6-0, 6-4 victory at flight one, while Landis won a very close flight two match. He won the first set, 6-3, before dropping the second set, 6-3, and after the third set was tied at 6-6, Landis clinched the victory with a 7-1 decision in the tiebreaker.

Frank Yanni and
Rodrigo Lorencin each lost well-fought three-set singles matches. Yanni won the first set at flight three, 6-3, but dropped the following two sets by the score of 6-3. Lorencin also won the first set of his flight six match, 6-4, but dropped the second set, 6-2, and lost the final set, 6-3.
NOTES
• Martinez-Lucas has won three of his last four singles matches and improves to 9-3 in singles play during the spring season.
• This marks the first meeting between these two teams in program history.
