Women's tennis narrowly falls to Sioux Falls, 4-3

Box Score Orlando, Fla. - The Millersville University women's tennis team won the doubles decision and had some strong performances in singles, but it wasn't enough in a 4-3 loss to Sioux Falls on Thursday afternoon.

The Marauders fall to 3-8, while the Cougars improve to 5-7.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Katina Jones teamed up with Jasmine Morris to roll to a 6-2 win at fight one doubles, while Kelsey Heckert and Victoria Hanus won their second-straight doubles match, 6-3, at flight three.
• Lauren Weaver was victorious in a thrilling flight six singles match. After dropping the first set, 6-3, Weaver bounced back to take the second set, 6-4, and clinched the win with a 10-6 victory in the third set.
• Heckert won her flight three singles match, 6-1, 3-0, after her opponent retired early in the second set.

NOTES
• Sioux Falls is now 2-0 in the all-time series after sweeping Millersville last season, 9-0.

UP NEXT
• The Marauders will finish off their spring break matches when they face Northwood on Friday, March 15 at 12 p.m.
