Men's tennis loses close match to Saint Thomas Aquinas, 4-3

Box Score Orlando, Fla. - The Millersville University men's tennis team narrowly fell to Saint Thomas Aquinas, 4-3, on Monday afternoon. The match came just over 12 hours after its match against Hillsdale on March 10.

The Marauders fall to 1-6, while the Spartans improve to 4-0.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Pearson Clary teamed up with Jose Alcazar to win at flight three doubles, 6-4, and then won at flight six singles, 9-7.
• Carlos Martinez-Lucas won at flight two singles, 6-2, 6-2, while Frank Yanni was victorious at flight three singles, 6-3, 6-2.
• Rodrigo Lorencin lost a well-fought flight five singles match, 6-4, 0-6, 10-5.
• Peter Landis and Martinez-Lucas at flight one doubles and Lorencin and Yanni at flight two doubles barely lost their respective matches, 6-4.
• Landis also put up a strong fight in his flight one singles loss, 7-5, 6-0.

NOTES
• This is the third match this season the Marauders have lost by a score of 4-3.

UP NEXT
• Millersville will be back in action on Tuesday, March 12 when it faces Merrimack College at 7 p.m.
