MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Millersville women's basketball team finished the third quarter on a 9-2 run recovering from a 10-point deficit to enter the final period trailing by just three, 60-57. Seton Hill outscored the Marauders by a single point, 26-25 in the fourth quarter to take the 86-82 victory.
 
Millersville (3-5, 1-3 PSAC) lost its first game at home this season, while Seton Hill (8-1, 3-1 PSAC) earned its third conference victory following a loss to Lock Haven earlier this month.
 
Ty Taylor and Mia Leonard recorded their second-straight game in double-digits tallying 13 and 10 points, respectively. Lauren Lister led the Millersville scoring effort bringing home 27 points off 11-of-21 shooting and 4-of-6 from the free throw line.
 
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Seton Hill got off to early lead going on an 11-2 run to hold the Marauders scoreless through the first three minutes. Leonard and Taylor put Millersville on the board with two free-throws each over the next two minutes. The Griffins continued to pull ahead while the Marauders added six more free throws and three layups to come within six points (22-16).
• Millersville opened the second quarter on a 6-0 run through the first three minutes. The Marauders continued to trade points with the Griffins before taking a 30-28 lead off a Lister layup. Seton Hill ended the quarter on a 6-3 run with Taylor sinking a three in the last 30 second to keep the score within four (47-43).
• Trailing by eight with five minutes left in the third quarter, Millersville went on a 7-0 run holding Seton Hill scoreless until the final 30 seconds of the quarter. Two free throws put the Griffins ahead 60-57 heading into the final 10 minutes of play.
• Back-to-back Seton Hill threes in the fourth gave the Griffins a 12-point lead, its largest of the game (74-62). Millersville recorded 18 points to Seton Hill's 10 in the final five minutes, but couldn't close the gap, dropping the game 86-82.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Millersville finished 30-of-39 (.435) from the field and 3-of-14 (.214) from beyond the arc. Seton Hill shot 40.0 percent and 38.1 percent from the field and 3-point range, respectively.
• Leonard recorded four blocks, a career high. Lister tallied four steals, tying her season high.
• The Marauders scored 52 points in the paint to Seton Hill's 36. They led in second-chance points (16-11) and tied in bench points (20).

• "They did a good job in that first half of taking away our strengths. It wasn't until we got going in the second half that we understood what we needed to do. We settled down after that first period and did a better job with pressed offense and had better control."
• "It's good to have a person that can have blocks for us. Mia Leonard took some charges too that I thought were just as important to do some stops in the defensive end. Ty Taylor has now had a couple of good games. She's quick in the open court and that's what we need."
• "Today, I just thought we didn't play our best defensive efforts and didn't have good consistency. You never know how it's going to be with threes, some days it rains threes and some days it doesn't. When we went three and a half minutes without them scoring and we were scoring, those are the runs we need. Some areas we are happy with and others we just couldn't finish and you have to do that to win in this conference. We need to take this to heart and recover at home."
 
NOTES
• Millersville is now tied with Seton Hill in the all-time series, 3-3. The Griffins now hold a two-game win streak over the Marauders.
• The game marks Millersville's first loss at home this season.
