MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The No. 13-ranked Millersville women's soccer team continues its three-game homestand on Wednesday night against Lock Haven University. It is the second meeting between the two teams in 2019; the Marauders defeated the Bald Eagles 5-0 on Sept. 18. Millersville looks to bounce back after suffering its first loss of the season last Saturday against No.9 Bloomsburg. Those two teams are currently tied at the top of the PSAC East standings with 24 points each. The Marauders' program-record winning streak of ten games was ended by the Huskies and they will look to begin a new streak against Lock Haven.

The Bald Eagles are coming off of a 5-1 win against Mansfield last Saturday. Prior to that victory, Lock Haven had not won since Sept. 14.

Millersville remains the highest scoring squad in the PSAC with 32 goals, just shy of averaging three per game. The Marauders have also launched 224 shots this season, the second-highest total in the conference.

ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
  • Kay Liebl leads the team in total shots with 38. Just behind her are four freshman players: Michelle Belcher (34), Savannah Rennix (21), Morgan Winchock (20), and Kylie Sullivan (16).
  • After Lauren Downey's goal on Saturday against Bloomsburg, 14 different players have scored at least one goal in 2019. Only eight different players scored a goal in the entirety of the 2018 season.
  • Liebl remains just three points behind record holder Becky Morris on the program's all-time career points list. She broke Morris' career goals record earlier this fall.
