MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The No. 8-ranked Marauders look to continue their historic start this Wednesday, Oct. 2 at home vs. Mansfield University. The team's 7-0 record to begin a season is a program record while the seven consecutive wins ties the record for longest overall win streak which was set in 2003. The Marauders are in a three-way tie for first place in the PSAC East standings with Bloomsburg and West Chester with 15 points each, although both of those schools have played one additional conference game.
Millersville has outscored opponents 23-1 in 2019. Through seven games of the 2018 season, they had outscored opponents 17-5.
This is the first of two meetings in the regular season between the squads. The second will be at Mansfield on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The teams have had a single common opponent in 2019: No. 12 West Chester University. Mansfield has lost to the Golden Rams twice by a combined 7-0 scoreline, while Millersville was victorious over WCU last Saturday 2-1.
ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
- Freshman Michelle Belcher's goal against West Chester was her team-leading fifth of the season and tied for the third-highest total in the PSAC. She also leads Millersville in overall points with 11.
- Senior forward Kay Liebl did not score against West Chester and remains on 32 career goals, tying her with Becky Morris for the most goals scored by a player in program history.
- Millersville leads the PSAC in goals scored with 23 and goals allowed with just one.
- 11 goals have been scored by Millersville freshmen players this season. Only six were scored by freshmen in all of the 2018 season.
- Millersville has out-shot opponents 141 to 46. The team averages just over 20 shots per game and has earned 47 corner kicks to date, conceding just 18 corners to opponents.

- Mansfield's Bria Bittiger scored the first goal of the game in the 6th minute to put the Mountaineers in front.
- Millersville finally equalized in the 59th minute courtesy of Cassie Blyth, who chased a ball down before the goalkeeper could get there and tucked it away for the goal.
- Delaney Meadows scored the game-winner for the Marauders in the 84th minute after Millersville dominated the second half of play, outshooting Mansfield 45-10 in the game.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Mansfield has scored just a single goal this season. Sierra Austin finally broke the scoreless streak with a goal against Shepherd University last Saturday to secure the Mountaineers' first win of 2019.
- Eleni Gebbia leads Mansfield in total shots with nine, six of which have been on frame. She assisted on Austin's goal against Shepherd.
- The Mountaineers have already equaled their win total from a year ago. They finished with a 1-15 record after the 2018 campaign.
