Box Score Millersville, Pa. – Despite a strong showing from its' doubles teams, the Millersville University women's tennis team lost 5-2 to Roberts Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon at the McComsey Tennis Courts.

The Marauders now hold a record of 2-2.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
• Corinne Grohoski and Sophie May won their flight two doubles match by a score of 7-5.
• Kelsey Heckert and Victoria Hanus clinched the doubles decision for Millersville with a 7-5 win at flight three doubles.
• Katina Jones won her flight one singles match, 7-5, 6-3.
• Heckert lost a well-fought flight four singles match, 4-6, 6-4, 10-1.
• Jasmine Morris bounced back in the second set of her flight two singles match, but ultimately lost, 6-0, 7-5.

• "Jasmine Morris did a great job of problem-solving today, playing a great second set against a good opponent. Kelsey Heckert gave an inspired effort. She just doesn't go away and I love that.  And what can you say about Katina Jones? She delivered another classic Katina Jones performance by making a great player look very ordinary."
• Our women really stepped up in doubles today. All three courts were super close. We were behind 5-4 on all three and managed to come back and win two of them."

NOTES
• This was the first time these two teams faced off since 2016, when the Redhawks were victorious by a score of 8-1.
