ABOUT THE MARAUDERS
• Millersville returns home coming off an 6-0 shutout of Jefferson Thursday afternoon in the first match of the 2018 season. The Marauders jump right into PSAC action for their home opener against California (Pa.). The match is one of eight conference contests on the docket for the opening weekend of competition in the PSAC.
• After the first day of competition in the conference, the Marauders were the only team to score more than three goals Thursday.
• In the last six years, the Marauders have had four seasons with winning records on home turf. In three of those seasons, the Marauders claimed victory in five matches. Head Coach
Matt Procopio and his team hopes to add another season to that list.
• Against Jefferson, last season's All-PSAC Second Team selection,
Kay Liebl, scored twice in the mere 45 minutes she played.Â

Talia Grynkewicz's shot found the back of the net at the left corner in the 82nd minute, it gave Millersville the lead with eight minutes remaining. However, 30 seconds later California earned an own goal to tie the game at 2-2 when the ball was deflected off a Millersville defender.
• Millersville recorded 23 shots with 11 on goal while California recorded four shots with three on goal. Millersville earned six more corner kicks than California as well.
• Millersville's 4-0 victory in 2016 broke a seven-game losing streak to the Vulcans.
SCOUTING THE VULCANS
• California (Pa.) was picked to finish 15th in the PSAC preseason poll after finishing the 2017 season 3-12-2.
• The Vulcans won their first match against West Liberty. Zana Ross scored the golden goal in double overtime to claim a 1-0 victory.
• With the victory, California (Pa.) open its 2018 campaign at 1-0 under first-year head coach Pete Curtis and earned its first season-opening victory since 2012.
• The Vulcans were out-shot, 19-9.
• The team is a young squad with 14 freshman and 10 sophomores while four upperclassman.
