
Camel leads Marauders at Mondschein Multi

Kutztown, Pa. - Millersville University's Arianna Camel took fourth place in the Maroon Multi heptathlon, leading a trio of Marauders at the two-day Mondschein Multi.
Competing in a field that included fourth Division I athletes and five PSAC athletes, Camel piled up 4,209 points. She placed third among PSAC competitors. Madie Tropp placed sixth among 15 competitors in the White Multi with a career-best 3,733 points. Arielle Stigelman rounded out the White field with 2,831 points.
Camel posted career-bests in three events. She ran a 14.67 for a first-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles. She also hit a PR in the shot put at 33-4. Camel placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.49. Camel's 100 hurdles time was the fifth-fastest in the PSAC this season.
Tropp hit 17-1 1/2 for a PR in the long jump, placing second in the event for 620 points. She won her 100 hurdles race and also qualified for the PSAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 15.48. That win accounted for 779 points of her total.
Stigelman hit a PR in the shot put at 28-7. She also hit a career-best in the long jump at 15-3 1/2 and posted a career-best throw of 81-8 3/4 in the javelin.
The full Millersville roster is back in action Saturday at the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell.
