GAME NOTES
• Millersville opened the 2018 season with two convincing out-of-conference victories away from Biemesderfer Stadium. The Marauders picked up their first win of the season with a 21-11 victory at the Wilmington Wildcats. They followed up that performance with a 17-4 drubbing of the Tigers at Holy Family.
• Senior
Sabrina Fusco leads the team in goals and points two games into her final campaign in the black and gold. Fusco scored five goals at Wilmington and four at Holy Family while assisting two goals in each game. She is rapidly closing in on the all-time goal and points scoring records. Her scoring is aided by her accuracy. Fusco has placed 17 of her 19 shots on goal to start the season.
• Sophomore
Sarah Leverentz is second on the team in goals with seven, and Leverentz's accuracy is in line with Fusco's. The midfielder has shot the ball nine times and all seven shots on goal made it in the back of the net. Leverentz has two assists on the season to take her points total to nine which ranks third on the team.
• Along with Fusco, two more seniors are making significant impacts on the offense. Senior
Kristen Butzner has scored six goals and assisted five more this season. Her 11 points rank second on the team. Senior
Callie Kavanaugh is fourth on the team in goals with five. Kavanaugh is a force from the free position as she already has two goals on three attempts.
• Redshirt junior
Shannon Davis has two wins between the pipes for the Marauders. She's played every minute so far and is only allowing 7.5 goals per game. She's aided by her defense led by defensive captain
Morgan Masiejczyk. Millersville's defense held opponents to only 30 shots so far this season compared to Millersville's offense who fired off 76 shots in the first two games.
