No. 21 Seton Hill powers past No. 18 Millersville, 29-13

Greensburg, Pa. – The No. 18 Millersville University wrestling team won three bouts but could not top Seton Hill in a 29-13 loss Saturday afternoon at the Katherine Mabis McKenna Center.

Three bouts came down to five or fewer points. Redshirt senior Shane Ruhnke won again Saturday, finishing the weekend with a 2-0 record. 

DUAL HIGHLIGHTS
• 125-pound redshirt senior Connor Sheehan began the dual with a 13-5 decision. Right from the whistle in the second period, Sheehan earned an escape and a takedown to take his first lead. Shortly after, Sheehan extended his lead with two near-fall points, finishing the second period with a 12-4 advantage. Sheehan held his lead in the third for the win.
• The Griffins responded with five straight wins until Ruhnke triumphed in a 23-8 technical fall over No. 7 Damon Greenwald in the 174-pound weight class.
• Ruhnke powered out the gate in the first period, leading 15-6. At the beginning of the second period, Ruhnke scored an escape, a takedown and four near-fall points. That put Ruhnke up 21-7 going into the third period. Ruhnke finished Greenwald with an early takedown in the third, clinching the victory. Ruhnke pushed the Marauders closer to the Griffins, trailing by 10.
After a 184-pound Marauder loss, senior Colton Dull responded by lighting up the scoreboard in the first period, scoring a 16-1 technical fall. Dull came out strong with two four-point near-falls and a takedown. Dull finished the bout with a takedown and four near-fall points.

Ruhnke totaled six takedowns while Sheehan got three.
• The 197-pound bout was a rematch from last year's regular season dual where Crouse won 5-3.
• As a team, the Marauders posted 12 escapes and takedowns.

UP NEXT
• The Marauders have a little under two weeks to prepare for their home opener on Friday, Nov. 30 against Mercyhurst. The dual begins at 7 p.m.
