Adkison wins season's first PSAC East Athlete of the Week Award

Lock Haven, Pa. - Marcus Adkison averaged 23.5 points per game in Millersville's opening weekend, and on Monday, he was named PSAC Eastern Division Men's Basketball Athlete of teh Week.
Adkison scored sank 11 of 18 threes while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He is the first Marauder since Larry Grant in 2013 to score 20 or more in each of the first two games of the season.
In the season opener against Shepherd, Adkison hit 5 of 10 threes for 23 points while also totaling five rebounds, four assists and two steals. The next day against Wheeling Jesuit, Adkison drilled 6 of 8 threes and 8 of 12 shots for 24 points.
This is Adkison's second weekly honor, previously winning it on Nov. 28, 2016. Adkison has scored 982 points in his two-plus seasons as a Marauder. His 11 threes in the first two games put him seventh on Millersville's career list.
The Marauders make their home debut on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., against Georgian Court.
