GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville is still very much in the mix for a PSAC Tournament berth but Saturday's game against Mansfield is close to a must-win for the Marauders. Millersville  won at Mansfield on Jan. 8 and can clinch a head-to-head tiebreaker and even the team's PSAC records with a win. Mansfield trails the No. 5 spot by just one game while Millersville is one game out of the No. 6 seed by one and is two games out of the No. 5 seed. Of the teams battling for the last two playoff spots, Millersville has home games against Mansfield and Lock Haven and has a road game against last-place Cheyney remaining on the schedule.
• In its first three home games of the season, Millersville suffered a one-point loss and then scored 216 combined points in wins over Clarion and Penn State Berks. Since, Millersville is 1-7 at home with the lone win coming against Cheyney. Millersville has lost its last three home games by a combined 53 points (17.7 per game).
• While the Marauders shot 50.9 percent from the field in Wednesday's loss to East Stroudsburg, they made just 4 of 15 threes. The magic number for the Marauders seems to be eight. The last three times Millersville has made at least eight threes it has won. Millersville is 5-1 when it makes at least eight threes.
• Millersville has averaged just 23.5 total rebounds in the last two games and now rank last in the PSAC in rebounding (32.3) and last in rebounding margin (-8.1). Rebounding  success has a direct correlation to wins for Millersville. Millersville is 5-2 when it records at least 37 rebounds and 4-1 with 38 or more.
• Millersville ranks second in the PSAC in turnover margin at 4.70 and is one of just two teams in the league to have margin of greater than 1.61. Millersville's 10.2 steals per game is second best in the PSAC  and the 204 total steals is third in Division II. Millersville has recorded 10 or more steals 10 times this season and is 5-5 in those games compared to 1-9 when recording fewer than 10 steals.
• Millersville has started three freshmen for fifth consecutive game. Freshmen have combined for 50 starts so far this season, with James Sullivan having started all 20 and D'Marco Suggs and Najdawi each starting 14. No other team in the PSAC has had as many freshmen starts. Freshmen account for 2,048 minutes played, which is 50.6 percent of the team's total minutes. Sullivan and Najdawi rank second and fourth on the team in average minutes per game.
• The Marauders certainly have a bright future with the freshmen as a foundation. Najdawi and Suggs both rank in the top 25 in the PSAC in blocks. James Sullivan and Jamal Washington both rank in the top 20 in steals per game. Washington has 26 steals in just 292 minutes played, giving him a 3.6 steals per 40 minutes average. After scoring just five total points in the first five games, Washington has scored in double figures three times.
Marcus Adkison has a steal in 18 of 20 games and ranks third in the league in steals per game (2.2).  He also ranks ninth in scoring average (19.1). He is trending toward becoming the first Marauder in a decade to average more than 19 points per game. He could be the first Marauder since hall of famer Lance Gelnett in 1991-92 to average 19 while shooting over 45 percent from the field and 40 percent from three. Adkison is also trending toward the best single-season free throw percentage in Millersville history. The mark sits at .863.

SCOUTING MANSFIELD
• After an eight-game losing streak, Mansfield has won two in a row including a road upset of Bloomsburg last Saturday. Mansfield ranks 15th in the PSAC in scoring offense and has scored under 70 points eight times this season. Defensively, however, the Mountaineers are allowing 73.8 points per game, which is seventh in the league. They are holding teams to 42.9 percent shooting (6th in the PSAC).
• Malik Carter (16.5) and Jeremiah Worthem (15.9) lead the Mountaineers' offense. Carter is hitting 38.3 percent from three and ranks second in the PSAC in steals per game. Worthem is also the team's leading rebounder with 8.9 per game. Matt Tamanosky is making 61.9 percent of his shots. Cedrick Powell ranks sixth in the PSAC in assists with 4.2 per game.
