GAME OVERVIEW
• A day after moving up from being ranked 15 to ninth on the US Soccer Coaches national poll, the Marauders dropped their first conference match against Lock Haven University ending their unbeaten streak at seven games.
• Lock Haven took advantage of a two on one break away situation and netted the go ahead goal in the 29th minute.
• Millersville had their opportunities to equalize with four shots on goal, but the Lock Haven keeper prevented the Marauders from tying the game.
ABOUT THE SERIES
• The Marauders lead the Vulcans 16-13-3 in the head-to-head series that began in 1989. Millersville won six straight and one draw ending with Millersville winning 8-7 on penalty kicks against the Vulcans between 2008-12. Each team has won a game every other year since 2013.

• California (Pa.) was picked to finish seventh in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Vulcans currently rank eighth in the standings with a 1-2 conference record.
• Opponents outscored the Vulcans 22-6 in their opening seven games of the season. In their best offensive outing, the Vulcans beat Seton Hill 3-1 in Seton Hill. The Marauders only beat Seton Hill 1-0 in Millersville.
