GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville enters conference play after an inspired 3-0 victory over Jefferson University.
• Head Coach Matt Procopio got contributions from all over the roster as senior Stacie Hallinan scored the first goal, sophomore Kay Liebl scored the second and junior transfer Delaney Meadows scored the third. Freshman Talia Grynkewicz was a threat the entire game and wreaked havoc in the middle of Jefferson's defense while recording four shots.
• The Millersville defense neutralized the Rams as starters junior Lauren Hoffman, freshman Rachel Beri and freshman Paige Mancini set the expectation early.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Millersville's 4-0 victory in 2016 broke a seven game losing streak to the Vulcans. Currently Millersville is 7-10-2 against California (Pa.) since their first meeting in 1994.

THE LAST MEETING: MILLERSVILLE 4, CALIFORNIA (PA.) 0 (Oct. 8, 2016)
• The Vulcans had several chances to score in the first half snatched away by the Millersville defense. Kaylie Cutlip scored in the 38th minute and the team didn't look back.
Kay Liebl opened the scoring in the 50th minute before Rachel Lyon and Sydnie Parker netted insurance goals in the final ten minutes.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• California (Pa.) was picked to finish 14th in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's preseason poll after finishing the 2016 season 2-11-3.
• The Vulcans lost 1-0 to non-conference opponent West Liberty University. California (Pa.) only attempted one shot in the first half but turned up the offensive pressure and recorded five shots in the second half. While the Vulcans struggled on offense, senior keeper Michaela Colon faced 14 shots and saved four shots on goal. Millersville's offense will need to stay hot to get past the experienced keeper on her home field.
