GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville opens its season with a revamped roster of 26 underclassmen. While the team had a rollercoaster season in 2016, the team finished winning six of their last 11 games including winning their final two games. The returning members of the team all played significant minutes during the entire season and especially during the final 11 game stretch.
• Head Coach Matt Procopio has a much larger roster compared to last season and will have more opportunities to sub players in and out to make sure everyone on the field has fresh legs and gaining invaluable experience.

ABOUT THE SERIES
• Jefferson University, formerly known as Philadelphia University, has been a tough opponent for the Marauders. Millersville's record against the Rams currently sits at 4-8-1 including a loss to the Rams during their most recent match up.

THE LAST MEETING: Philadelphia 2, MILLERSVILLE 1 (Aug. 27, 2009)
• Philadelphia scored early in the first half and held their 1-0 lead until the 73rd minute when Millersville equalized.
• The game went back and forth after the equalizing goal until Philadelphia overwhelmed the defense and squeezed in the game winner in the final two minutes of regulation.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Jefferson was picked to finish third with two first place votes in the CACC behind Georgian Court University and Caldwell University after falling to Wilmington University in the conference quarterfinals last season.
• Jefferson was strong on defense last season and held opponents to 0.98 goals per game. However, it was not as active on offense and only averaged 1.61 goals per game. Jefferson is fielding a new goalie this season, and Millersville will want to test the new keeper by turning up the offensive pressure.
