Men's Tennis Nathan Heintschel, Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant

Men's tennis falls to Elizabethtown College 6-3

Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville men's tennis team lost 6-3 in Head Coach Matt Helsel's return to Elizabethtown College Monday.

Elizabethtown started the day with two out of three doubles match wins. Redshirt junior Noah Ginder and junior Jordan Shultz narrowly lost their doubles match 9-8 (7-4). Sophomore Christian Akerley and senior Christian Boyer grinded out an 8-6 doubles victory.

Millersville claimed two of the first three singles matches. Ginder lost his first set 0-6 and then won 6-2 and 6-0. Akerley traded blows through three sets. He lost the first set 4-6 before winning the second set 6-3 and then winning an intense 7-6 (7-3) third set. With the team score tied 3-3, Elizabethtown took the final three singles matches to end the day.

The Millersville men's tennis team returns to the McComsey Tennis Courts one last time April 20 to host senior day for Boyer and Ginder against Lancaster Bible College
