Millersville, Pennsylvania -- The Millersville women's tennis team earned a 6-3 home victory against Chestnut Hill College Friday.
Millersville started the day by winning two ut of three doubles matches. Junior
Kimberly Theophile and sophomore
Kelley Hershey earned an 8-2 doubles victory. Sophomore
Jessica Soullaird and freshman
Molly Kulp had to earn a hard fought 8-5 doubles victory.
Millersville followed up their success in the doubles matches with success in the singles. Theophile won a contentious 6-4 first set and cruised to a 6-2 second set victory. Sophomore
Haley Nauman swept her first set 6-0 before earning a 6-4 second set victory. Hershey took care of business winning 6-1 and 6-2 while Soullaird followed suit winning 6-2 and 6-1.
The Millersville women's tennis team returns to the court when they head to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Shippensburg University April 15.
