Kutztown, Pennsylvania -- Kutztown overcame a four-goal first half deficit, forced overtime and topped the Marauders with a sudden victory goal, 13-12.
The Marauders dominated the first half with eight goals while holding the Golden Bears to only four. Millersville continued to control the game during the opening eight minutes of the second half scoring three goals to Kutztown's two. In the 47th minute, senior
Kelly Devlin received a yellow card and had to exit the field. The Golden Bears quickly capitalized forty seconds later and sparked a four goal run.
With ten minutes remaining in regulation, Millersville led Kutztown 11-10. Junior
Callie Kavanaugh assisted junior Kristin Butzner's goal to momentarily stop the bleeding. Kutztown's leading goal scorer Sarah Gabriele scored two goals in the final six minutes of regulation to equalize and force overtime. Kutztown took offensive control in the overtime period and scored the game winner 126 seconds after the period started.
With the loss to Kutztown, Millersville fell to 5-7 on the season and 2-5 in conference play, and they now rank 10th in the PSAC standings. The Marauders are in the midst of a four game losing streak that's involved one out of conference game and two ranked match-ups. In the last three games, the Marauders lost by a combined four points.
Kavanaugh led the team in goals with three against the Golden Bears. Senior

Sabrina Fusco lead the team with 5 points apiece, as they each scored two goals and assisted three more. Butzner and freshman
Sarah Leverentz both reached double digit goals on the season with their scoring contributions against Kutztown.
The Millersville women's lacrosse team will look to end their streak at home April 15 at 1 p.m. against PSAC rival Edinboro University.
