Millersville, Pennsylvania -- The 18 degree wind chill could not cool off senior Renee Landis and the red hot Marauder offense in a 16-2 win over Holy Family Saturday at home.

Landis assisted four goals and scored three more to lead the Marauders with seven points against the leaky Tigers' defense. Landis notched two goals in the first 15 minutes of the game before Holy Family would score their first. Landis would assist a second half goal by junior Sabrina Fusco to further demonstrate the lethality of their offensive connection. The offensive duo have linked up for a combined seven goals in their first four games.

Fusco tore it up behind Landis with six more points for the Marauders. She wasted no time as she scored the opening goal in the first 49 seconds of the game. Fusco scored three more goals against the Tigers to bring her season total to 13. The 2016 All-PSAC Second Team honoree assisted two more goals to bring her season point total to 19. She sits one point behind team points leader Landis.

The Marauders started fast against Holy Family as they scored four goals in the first 13 minutes of the first half. The Tigers would muster an answer off a broken Millersville clear attempt 18 minutes into the first half to cut the Marauders' lead to 4-1. Millersville would score 11 unanswered goals before the Tigers would score their second and final goal with 5:46 remaining in the game. The Marauders would get the final word as Landis assisted sophomore Nathalie Sell's first goal of the game and fifth of the season.

Millersville won the game by overwhelming Holy Family in the midfield and attacking ends which completely stifled offensive opportunities for the Tigers. The Marauders attempted 36 shots while the Tigers mustered 13. Millersville would win the draw control battle 15-5 which lead to more offensive opportunities. Sophomore Erin Fagan and freshman Sarah Leverentz were like sharks on the draw and each tallied five draw controls.Senior midfielder Jamie Damirgian would scoop up three more draw controls for the Marauders.

Millersville takes their scorching offense to warmer climates on Wednesday, March 15 at Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C.
