
Four swimmers qualify for the PSAC Championship at the ESU Invite

East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania -- Senior Lizzie Ebert, freshman Judith Miller, and sophomores Amira Washington and Gabriella Licata qualified for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Swimming Championship at the East Stroudsburg University Invite Saturday.
Ebert set the pace in Millersville's first event in the 50-yard freestyle. She took second place with a time of 25.65 while beating her personal best time by almost a second. Washington finished two places behind Ebert with a time of 25.82. Miller finished two places behind Washington with a time of 26.12 which was two one-hundredths of a second faster than her previous best.
Licata owned the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events for the Marauders. She finished second in the 100-yard with a time of 1:12.68 which was over a second better than her previous best. She followed up her performance with a first place finish in the 200-yard. She finished with a time 2:36.28 which was over two seconds better than her personal best.
Miller finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.86 which was over a second faster than her personal best. Miller began swimming in the butterfly event only this year.
Senior Meghan Hickey finished first in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:31.77. Sophomore Mackenzie McFadden took second place in the event with a time of 2:39.47.
The invite did not record team scores.
