Elizabethtown, Pa. - Fresh off of her first career PSAC Central Athlete of the Week award, Millersville freshman
Lindsey Blevins recorded 20 kills and a .415 hitting percentage Wednesday at Elizabethtown, powering the Marauders to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) sweep of the Blue Jays.
Blevins committed just three hitting errors while tallying 20 kills for the second time in less than a week. It was the first 20-kill performance in a three-set match for a Marauder this season. Two of Blevins' three hitting errors came in the first set. She totaled 10 kills on 12 swings in the second and four kills without an error in the third.
As a team, the Marauders recorded 48 kills to just 15 errors, hitting .282. Freshman
Courtney Turocy added nine kills to just one error. Sophomore setter
Katie Laughman added a double-double with 38 assists an 13 digs.
The non-conference victory pushes the Marauders to 15-6 on the season, ensuring the team a winning record. Millersville also snapped Elizabethtown's (17-9) four-match winning streak.
Millersville rallied for an early deficit in the first and trailed for only one rally in both the second and third sets. The first set stood tied 20-20 before the Marauders scored five of the set's final six points. Three of the points came on a

Haley Butler kill and
Erin Harman kill.
The Marauders led by as many as eight points in the second set, using Blevins' 10 kills to total 19. Millersville pushed their as big as eight points in the third set as well with an efficient offensive attack (16 kills to two errors).
Millersville now returns to PSAC play and the chase for the postseason. The final two home matches of the season are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
