Lock Haven, Pa. - After helping Millersville football to a 34-21 victory over Lock Haven, freshman kicker
Joey Farley was named the PSAC East Special Teams Player of the Week.
Farley is the first Marauder to ever win the special team's weekly award. The rookie connected on both of his field goal attempts, hitting from 31 and 26 yards. He also was perfect on four PAT tries. Farley also averaged 53.5 yards on two kickoff tries.
Farley's field goal kicking has been crucial in Millersville's back-to-back wins. He made a career-long 41-yarder in a 12-0 win over East Stroudsburg, and his two makes against Lock Haven cushioned Millersville's lead. Farley has made three field goals in a row and is a perfect 18 for 18 in PAT tries this season. Farley also lined up at wide receiver against Lock Haven and made his first career reception.
Millersville travels to Shippensburg on Saturday looking for a third consecutive PSAC East win.
