Kutztown, Pennsylvania - Millersville wrestling routed American International and nearly sneaked out a victory against LIU Post for a split Friday in the Kutztown Duals.
LIU Post 24, Millersville 20
Colton Dull's 19-1 tech fall got the Marauders extremely close to a win over LIU Post, but at 285 pounds, Pioneers' James Louison closed the duaul with six points when Millersville's David Wuestner was unable to continue because of an injury. Dull wasn't the only Millersville wrestler that won convincingly. In an impressive showing, 125-pound Austin Camacci started the day off right for the Marauders, pinning his opponent in merely 30 seconds.
Liam Frank controlled his match as well, downing Jesse Weiner in the 174 weight class by a score of 12-6. Shane Ruhkne had the other win for Millersville, via forfeit. It was nearly enough to put them on top. The 149 weight class was a battle from start to finish. In the end, the Pioneers picked up a pivotal win as T.J. Fabian downed David Charles of Millersville, 3-0. LIU Post improved to 8-4 with the victory. Millersville temporarily dropped to 1-4, but they earned some redemption in the second match of the day.
