GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville enters Wednesday's game at West Chester on a six-game slide, but in two of the last three games, it has led in the final two minutes on the road. Each of the last three games have been decided by 10 points or fewer, and the one home game was against nationally-ranked Indiana (Pa.). Millersville trailed by as few as six points in the final two minutes. West Chester is Millersville's first opponent with a sub-.500 record since Dec. 30. Six of Millersville's 10 losses have been decided by 10 points or fewer.
• Millersville is 1-7 on the road this season while West Chester is 5-1 at home. Millersville is shooting .397 from the field in road games compared to .453 in home games.
• Hollinger Field House hasn't been a friendly place to play for the Marauders. Millersville has won only one of the last nine games played in the building and since 1991, Millersville is 4-21 at West Chester. The last four losses at West Chester have all been by double figures. Scoring doesn't come easily either with Millersville not scoring more than 74 points in any game at WCU since 2004. The last two meetings in Hollinger have been decided by an average of 35.5 points per game.
• While the Marauders have not fared well at West Chester, the all-time series is among the most competitive in the PSAC. Millersville has played West Chester 195 times, second-most of any opponent. West Chester holds a slight 98-97 lead. With the first meeting coming in 1903-04, West Chester, along with Shippensburg, is also Millersville's oldest PSAC opponent. West Chester's recent five-game winning streak is the longest by either team since Millersville won 13 in a row from 1984-90.
•
Amadou Kaba is coming off a career performance. He had scored in double figures just twice in his first 14 games but scored 15 points against Bloomsburg. Not only did he set a career high in scoring, he also grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds (six offensive) for his first career double-double. Kaba has led Millersville in blocked shots eight times this season. He's blocked a shot in three consecutive games and has recorded at least one steal in five consecutive games. He's grabbed 23 rebounds in his last two games.
•
Jordan Greene spent two seasons at West Chester, averaging 1.2 points per game as a freshman and 2.1 points per game as a sophomore. He earned his first career start at Bloomsburg and has scored in double figures in five of the last seven games. He scored 20 points against Bloomsburg for his second career 20-point game. In his last two games, Greene has totaled 35 points, shot 6-of-6 from the line, 3-of-5 from three and 13-of-29 from the field. Greene has also set a career high for minutes played in each of his last two games (31 and 36 minutes).
•
Marcus Adkison ranks eighth in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game. Adkison has scored in double figures in four consecutive games and has six 20-point performances to his credit. His 41.2 percent shooting from three is fifth-best in the PSAC, and he ranks second in 3-pointers made per game at 3.6. Adkison is 19 threes away from cracking Millersville's top 10 for threes in a season.
SCOUTING WEST CHESTER
• West Chester reached the PSAC Championship game and the NCAA Tournament in 2015-16 but are off to a slow start in 2016-17. Since starting 3-2, WCU is 4-7 and has lost four of the last six games. West Chester has scored over 90 points six times this season but was also recently held to 43 points in a loss to Shippensburg. West Chester is still a tough team to beat at home, posting a 5-1 record in Hollinger. The team's lone home loss came by an 88-73 score against Bloomsburg on Dec. 30.
• West Chester ranks sixth in the PSAC in scoring offense but 16th in scoring defense. West Chester also ranks among the top rebounding teams in the league, totaling 41.1 rebounds per game, which is second most. It's 14.1 offensive rebounds per game ranks second as well.
• West Chester has been without Malik Jackson and his 22.5 points per game since Jan. 3. Tyrell Long has been a nice addition, playing his first game on Dec. 30. He averages 19.8 points per game with four 20-point games in six total appearances.
