West Chester, Pa. – The Millersville softball team combined for 10 hits in the doubleheader with West Chester on Saturday afternoon, but the Golden Rams prevailed earning a 2-0 shutout win in game one and a 6-2 decision in the nightcap.

In game oneÂ, the Golden Rams found it's breakthrough on a two-out single from Madison Kelley that plated pitch-runner Shannon Gray with the game winning run. Teammate Sarah Walasavage followed it up with an insurance run on another single that scored Kelley.

The Marauders weren't able to get much going at the plate with Brooke Harner (9-0) scattering two hits across seven innings of work within the circle.
Brianna Andraos was solid in the circle for the Marauders striking out five in the 2-0 loss.

In game two, Madison Kelly got the scoring going early again for the Golden Rams with a solo homer to centerfield that gave West Chester a 1-0 lead after the first inning.
The Marauders responded in the top of the second with a two-out RBI single off of the bat of
Megan Hallock that scored
Cassidy Pinchorski. The sophomore got the call in the circle for Millersville and scattered four hits in the third with the Golden Rams plating home four runs to take the 5-1 lead.

Brianna Andraos plated homer her seventh career RBI in the fifth two bring the Marauders within three. However, tacked on another run in the sixth inning en route to the 6-2 win.

Millersville falls to 15-11 overall and are 2-2 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, while West Chester improves to 25-3 overall and 2-0 within conference action.

The Marauders return to non-conference action on Tuesday, March 29 when they host Lincoln for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
