Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville men's basketball team clawed its way back from a 13-point deficit in the first half and nearly upset the visiting East Stroudsburg Warriors before falling down the stretch by a 75-70 score. The Marauders finish their season with a 4-22 overall record and 4-18 mark within the PSAC.
Millersville and East Stroudsburg (20-6, 16-6) traded the lead four times, but the Warriors held the advantage for most of the contest. ESU held a 25-12 lead at the 13-minute mark of the first half and a 47-40 edge at halftime, but Millersville put together a 20-3 run spanning halftime, capped by a 13-0 run where they went ahead 53-49 with 13:44 remaining. The Marauders were able to gain the lead due in large part to effective 3-point shooting. Millersville finished the contest 11-of-29 from downtown, but were 50 percent within the first half.
Unfortunately, the Marauders were unable to hold on to their lead as ESU scored the next eight points. Millersville once again fought their way back into the game this time because of several turnovers and tied it up at 60 apiece after a Jon Lott layup with 10:12 remaining.
The Warriors once again went on a run embarking on a 12-1 push for a 71-61 advantage with 5:53 remaining. Millersville managed to cut the deficit to 76-73 with 2:27 left, but the Marauders ran out of steam down the stretch.

Williams concluded his fantastic career with the Black & Gold leading the team in scoring for the 13th time this season as he poured in a game-high 18 points.
