Seton Hill, Pennsylvania -Â Alayah Hall led the way with 19 points and
Courtney Dimoff registered a career-high 12 as the Millersville women's basketball team snapped its four-game losing streak, defeating Seton HIll 66-51 Saturday. The win was the 600th of Coach
Mary Fleig's legendary career.
Jade Farquhar added 10 points while
Courtney Hinnant had nine points to go with nine rebounds and
Aunjel Van Brakle scored seven while leading all players with a career-high 14 rebounds.Â
Fleig is in her 27th season at Millersville and has won 478 of those games with the Marauders. She ranks seventh in wins among active Division II coaches and 14th in career wins.Â
Jenna Kaufman racked up 18 points but Millersville held all other scorers under double digits and outrebounded the Griffins 45-31. The Marauders bench added 22 points in the win as Millersville went 8-14 from three point range and shot 47.5 percent from the field. After the Griffins got within two points in the third quarter, Millersville outscored Seton Hill 26-13 in the fourth en route to victory.
Millersville scored the first five points as
Jade Farquhar put in a layup and
Courtney Dimoff nailed a three pointer to make the score 5-0. After the Griffins cut the score to 5-4, the two sides traded buckets until the Marauders went on an 8-3 run to take an 18-12 lead into the second quarter.
Seton Hill opened the second with a three point bucket but Farquhar hit a layup and
Kendra Bamberger made a three to give Millersville a 23-15 lead. The Griffins would score eight unanswered to get within two points before Dimoff hit another three to give her 12 points going into halftime.Â
The Griffins would come out strong in the third quarter and cut the lead to 28-27. With the score tied 33-33, Farquhar hit a three but Jenna Kaufman would answer with a bucket to keep Seton Hill within one. With the score knotted up at 38 apiece,
Alayah Hall worked her way to the basket and scored a layup as Millersville took a 40-38 to end the third quarter.Â
Seton Hill would tie the game at 40, but Millersville responded with seven unanswered points to take a 47-40 lead. It was the Seton Hill's turn to go on a run as the Griffins cut the deficit to within one.
Courtney Hinnant would hit a lay up to stop the momentum and propel Millersville to a 10-2 run and eventually close out the Griffins for their third victory of the season.

The Marauders now stand at 3-4 (1-2 PSAC) and travel to California (Pa.) Sunday to face the Vulcans at 1 p.m.Â
