GAME OVERVIEW
• After four total wins in 2015-16, first-year head coach Casey Stitzel has the Marauders just 12 points from a 5-0 start. The Marauders are 3-2 and have lost just two road games, both by five points. And in both games, Millersville held a second-half lead. The team is nearly an completely new cast of characters. Newcomers have accounted for 69 percent of the team's scoring. Only three players--Cornell Yarde II, Tom Townsend, Markeith Mont--played on last season's team and have scored points this season.
• Only five games into the season, Millersville's strengths are evident: shooting and perimeter defense. Millersville is far-and-away the best 3-point shooting team in the PSAC through five games, hitting 42.6 percent of 141 attempts. Five other teams have attempted more threes than the Marauders but none of those teams are shooting over 40 percent. Millersville averages 12 made threes per game and recently set a school record with 18 makes against Lincoln. Millersville made at least 10 threes in all three wins, but shot 17-for-52 in the two losses.
• Sophomore Marcus Adkison has scored 53 points in his last two games, including a career-high 31-point performance against LIncoln in which he sank nine threes. He's averaging 20.2 points per game, which ranks sixth in the PSAC. He leads the league with 24 threes made and among players with at least 30 attempts, his .462 percentage is third.
• Along with Adkison, Conrad Chambers and Yarde are ranked in the top 13 in the PSAC in 3-point shooting. All three are shooting better than 42 percent. Chambers ranks 10th in the league in scoring at 16.6 points per game, and Yarde is 16th at 13.8. Yarde has been a do-it-all player for the Marauders, grabbing at least nine rebounds in four of five games, and his 7.8 per game average ranks seventh in the PSAC. Yarde's 3.2 assists per game ranks 20th.
• Despite being out-rebounded in every game, ranking last in the PSAC in rebounding offense, rebounding defense and margin (-11.0), the Marauders have limited every opponent to 74 points or fewer. Undersized with no player in the starting lineup taller than 6-6, Millersville has blocked a league-low four shots. The Marauders have been outscored in the paint 32.8-19.6 per game, and are allowing 18.6 second chance points per game. The Marauders offset that with 3-point shooting and the creation of turnovers. Millersville has forced 17.0 turnovers per game. Meanwhile, the Marauders have committed just 57, giving them a 6.4 average advantage each game.
• As a freshman, Jon Lott totaled 42 assists and 55 turnovers, but as a sophomore, he has been a steady hand. His 3.2 assists per game are tied for the team lead and he has committed just nine turnovers, ranking him 13th in the PSAC in assist/turnover ratio. Lott is also the team's leader in plus-minus, holding a plus-24 margin through nearly 128 minutes of action.

SCOUTING SETON HILL
• Seton Hill is off to a 4-2 start and has made a living winning close games. Three of the team's four wins have come by five points or fewer. The Griffins have won two in a row--both non-conference games. The Griffins have struggled on the defensive end, allowing 80.3 points per game game and allowing opponents to shoot .472 from the field and .485 from three. Noah Brown is the team leader with 16.5 points per game. The 6-8 Spencer Casson will present match-up problems for the Marauders. He is the reigning PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year and led Division II in blocks. He is averaging over four blocks per game along with 13.0 points and 8.5 rebounds.

SCOUTING CALIFORNIA
• Under first-year head coach Kent McBride, the Vulcans are off to a slow start at 2-5 but have played just one home game. That game was a 100-92 win over Davis & Elkins. D&E, however, beat CalU 79-64 in a Nov. 30 road game. Vulcans are minus-8.7 in scoring margin and have been out-rebounded by 5.4 per game.  Three players average double figures, led by freshman Ramon Creighton (16.9).  Luke Adjusic missed the team's first three games but has scored double-figures in two of his last three. He's made 9-of-24 threes in his last three games.
