
Women's Cross Country Team and Abigail Daley Receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

Millersville, Pa. - The USTFCCCA handed out its annual All-Academic awards Wednesday and Abigail Daley received the honor for the second-consecutive season while the team was named All-Academic for a ninth year in a row.
To qualify for the honor, athletes must compile a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and place in the top 30 percent at the regional championship or in the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships. 262 women were recognized from 122 different schools and 22 different conferences. The PSAC had the most representation with 50 total honorees.
Millersville was one of 128 sqauds to receive the honor with a cumulative GPA of 3.07. Teams needed a GPA of at least 3.00 and had to score at a NCAA Division II regional meet in order to qualify. The PSAC had the most representation from the women's conferences with 13 teams.
Daley, who majors in molecular biology, finished in 30th at the PSAC Championship with a time of 22:55.5 (her best time of the season) to earn Second Team All-PSAC honors. The sophomore then placed 32nd at the NCAA Atlantic Regional with a time of 24:02.8.
