GAME OVERVIEW
• Millersville returns to the friendly confines of Pucillo Gymnasium for a much-needed home game after suffering its third-straight loss on Friday, Nov. 28, dropping a 70-54 game to Goldey-Beacom. The Marauders (2-4) jumped out to a 15-0 lead within the first seven minutes of the non-conference matchup. The outstanding run was spearheaded by guard Cornell Yarde II who knocked down consecutive 3-pointers forcing a Lightning timeout at the 13:16 mark. Yarde II finished with a team-high 15 points and was 6-of-14 from the field. The Schuylkill Valley product added seven rebounds and a game-high three steals. Demerik Weglinski had 11 points and 13 rebounds with Shawn Williams scoring 11 points for the Marauders, who shot 34 percent (19-of-56) from the floor and were 4-of-25 from 3-point range. Weglinski finished with his fourth double-double and comes into Tuesday's contest averaging 10 boards, which is fourth best in the PSAC.
• A trio of Marauders are averaging double figures to begin the season. Senior guard Shawn Williams is averaging 17.8 points per game while junior Cornell Yarde II is at 15.0 and forward Ricky Mosley is averaging 10.0.
• Millersville has won two-straight against the Mountaineers after splitting the previous four meetings with each of those four games being decided by no more than seven points. Since 2007-08, 10 of the meetings have been decided by fewer than 10 points. From 2008-09 to 2011-12, Mansfield won eight in a row. Millersville has won each of the last three games played in Pucillo Gymnasium and stole a victory at Mansfield's home court last February.
Shawn Williams has become the Marauders' most lethal 3-point shooter, averaging 7.66 attempts per game. But he has been efficient, hitting 34.8 percent, which is best on the team. Williams' 16 made 3-pointers are tied for the fourth-most in the PSAC and he is the ninth-best scorer within the conference averaging 17.8 points per contest.
• KU currently leads the PSAC in scoring offense at 96.8 points per game and scoring margin at 24.3. The Golden Bears are currently tied for third in the PSAC East standings at 2-1, one game behind West Chester and Bloomsburg.
• Kutztown won both of last season's matchups against Millersville as its 82-71 win last December snapped Millersville's five-game winning streak over the Golden Bears. That was the longest Millersville streak in the series since winning nine in a row from 1998-2003. Five of the last six games have been decided by single digits and two have reached overtime. With 206 previous meetings, Millersville has played Kutztown more than any other opponent. With the exception of World War II and 1907-08, the programs have met at least twice each season since 1904-05.

THE LAST MEETING (KUTZTOWN 68, MILLERSVILLE 63 - FEB. 7, 2015)
• Millersville charged back from a 14-point halftime deficit and trailed by just one with 3:58 to play. But a technical foul issued against Millersville turned the tide as Kutztown rattled off six straight points in the next 28 seconds and held to give Millersville a 68-63 loss in Pucillo Gymnasium. The loss was Millersville's first and only of the season when holding a team to fewer than 70 points (8-1). The Marauders held Kutztown to 26.3 percent shooting in the second half and 38 percent on the game. Kutztown failed to shoot 40 percent from the field. Millersville, however, could not take advantage on the offensive end, shooting just 34 percent. Sam Light led Millersville with 14 points. Tavon Parker added 10.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• Kutztown enters today's contest following its first loss of the season falling in overtime to Mercyhurst, 71-70. Guard Ethan Ridgeway hit two clutch three-pointers in the closing minutes of regulation as he proved to be a force off the bench once again for KU, scoring 16 points. It was his third straight game with 14 or more points. He is third on the team with 13.5 points per game, second with 3.25 assists a game and second with 1.5 three pointers made per game. Preseason All-PSAC East forward Josh Johnson will be a player to watch as he has started off strong, averaging 15.8 points (17th in PSAC) and a team-high 9.3 rebounds (T-5th in PSAC). He is shooting 57 percent from the field and is tied for the team lead with five steals.
