Shippensburg, Pa. – Back on the road, the Millersville women's volleyball team was outmatched against Shippensburg, falling to the Raiders in straight sets (25-11, 25-11, 25-19).
Millersville was led by 
Erin Harman who recorded a team-high nine kills and added seven digs. The Marauders were not efficient at the net as they committed 22 attack errors and their highest individual attack percentage was just .188. Freshman 
Grace Dawson's streak of 30 or more assists was broken as she had just 18 assists and 13 digs while 
Brooklyn Smith led the team with 23 digs.
Shippensburg established dominance early in the first set, winning the first six points and forcing Millersville to take a timeout. The Marauders first got on the board when 
Erin Harman sent home a kill making it 6-1. But the Raiders would respond and take the next three points as Millersville committed a pair of errors and Taylor Gottshall recorded a kill for Shippensburg. Shippensburg kept pulling away taking nine of the next 11 points.The Marauders would ultimately drop the first set when they committed an error giving Shippensburg a 25-11 set victory.
In the second set, Millersville got on the board early and tried to hang with the Raiders keeping the score to within three points of Shippensburg (9-6). When Annie Goerl sent home a kill for the Raiders, Witwer responded with one of her own, seemingly giving the Marauders life. But Millersville squandered the momentum committing five consecutive errors to make the score 16-7. The Raiders would put more distance between the two sides taking the next three points. Shelby Henry scored a service ace to end the set.
Millersville looked like a different team in the third set, jumping out to a 7-3 as Harman, Ceriana and Witwer all sent home kills. The Marauders climbed back into the set as Faith Athey recorded a pair of kills followed by another one from Goerl to cut the lead to just one for Millersville. Witwer would respond with a kill of her own to make the score 9-7 before Millersville faltered again committing back-to-back errors. With the score knotted at 15, Shippensburg began to take control by scoring five of the next six points aided by another pair of errors from the Marauders. Trailing 20-17, Shippensburg's Nolan committed an error of her own and Kalescky recorded a kill cutting the score to just one. Shippensburg scored the next five points and finished the match with a 25-19 victory.
The Marauders fell to 14-14 (5-13 PSAC) on the year stay on the road to face West Chester on Friday at 7 p.m.
