GAME OVERVIEW
• Forget about the 78-49 loss Millersville suffered at West Chester back in November. Home court advantage is everything when the Marauders and Golden Rams meet. The home team has won 28 of the 36 meetings during the Fred Thompson Era, and Millersville has won seven of the last eight games at home against West Chester. Four of the last five meetings in Pucillo have been decided by fewer than 10 points. The two clubs have split the season series in each of the previous six seasons.

• Millersville had won four in a row before losing 84-66 at Bloomsburg last Wednesday. The Marauders are far better a team at home, posting an 8-2 mark in Pucillo Gymnasium as opposed to the 2-8 record away from home. Millersville is outscoring teams 77.7-70.2 at home but is being outscored 75.3-64.1 on the road.  West Chester has also had its struggles on the road, going 2-7. However, five of West Chester's road losses were decided by six points or fewer. Sam Light went 2-for-12 from the field at Bloomsburg but expect an improved performance Wednesday. While shooting 26.1 percent from three and 28.2 percent from the field on the road, Light hits 35.4 percent of his threes and 41.6 percent of his total shots. He's also averaging four more points per game at home.

• Shawn Williams ranks 10th in the PSAC in assists, averaging 3.5 per game. A key to Millersville's success is Williams distributing the basketball successfully. In the first game against West Chester, Williams committed eight turnovers compared to one assist. In Millersville's 10 wins, Williams has 46 assists (4.6 per game) compared to 37  turnovers (3.7 per game). But in the 10 losses, he averages 2.4 assists compared to  38 turnovers.

• While Anthony Moe is averaging just 12.7 minutes per game, he is proving to be a difference maker. In his five games played, Millersville has been even or out-rebounded its opponent three times. It had won the rebounding battle only three times in the first 15 games. Per 40 minutes, Moe is averaging an incredible 22.4 rebounds per game. He also grabs 30 percent of all possible rebounds when he is in the game. While Millersville lost to Bloomsburg by 18 points, the team was +7 in his 18 minutes played.

• Millersville has struggled against strong rebounding clubs. While the Marauders have made great improvements in recent weeks, they are 0-5 against teams ranked in the top six in the PSAC in rebounding offense and 2-4 against teams with an even or positive rebounding margin. That makes West Chester a tough match-up as the Golden Rams rank third in rebounding offense at 40.4 per game and third in rebounding margin (+7.8). West Chester is especially dangerous on the offensive glass, grabbing 16.0 per game. Millersville has been out-rebounded in 14 games, posting a 4-10 record. And while it has been outscored in second chance points 15 times, Millersville is 8-7 in those games.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
• West Chester reached the NCAA Tournament last season and garnered D2SIDA Atlantic Region rankings early this season, but a six-game losing streak in November and December was a significant setback for the team. West Chester has won two in a row, though, and has scored 90-plus points in each of those wins and in three of the last four games. West Chester was held below 40 percent shooting in five of those six losses and has only been held under 40 percent in two other games the entier season. West Chester now ranks seventh in the PSAC in scoring average, but it is also allowing 74.5 points per game, which is 13th in the league. Cory Blake ranks 13th in the PSAC in scoring average (14.1). He is the only player averaging double figures. He has scored 20-plus points four times.
