Men's Tennis Drops PSAC Opener

Bloomsburg, Pa. - The Millersville men's tennis team lost its PSAC Eastern Division opener to Bloomsburg Thursday by an 8-1 score.

Millersville (2-6, 0-1 PSAC) received a win at No. 4 singles from Dylan Ryan, but that was the team's lone victory. Bloomsburg (2-7, 1-3 PSAC) swept the three doubles matches and took five of the six singles bouts.

Ryan topped Brayden Shipman in three sets, rallying from a 2-6 first set loss. He answered with a 6-4 win in the second and a 10-5 win in the third. Jody Sambrick Jr. had a three-match winning streak snapped at No. 1 singles, but it took three sets. Mike DiSanto edged Sambrick, 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 10-8. Pearson Clary also dropped a three-set decision at No. 6 singles, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8.

Thursday's match begins a stretch of four matches in four days for the Marauders. They host Edinboro on Friday, Mercyhurst on Saturday, and Kutztown on Sunday.
