Shannon Cruz Earns All-Region Honors at Slippery Rock

Slippery Rock, Pa. - For the second time in her career, sophomore Shannon Cruz earned All-Region honors while placing 20th out of 162 runners at the 2014 Division II Atlantic Regional with a time of 23:18.1. As a team, the Marauders placed 15th out of 24 teams.

Fellow sophomore Abigail Daley was the next to finish for Millersville in 32nd and was clocked at 24:02.8. Kayla Naughton was the third Marauder to place and did so in 97th with a time of 26:12.3. Taylour Mauro came in at 104th (26:29.6) and Amanda Long was right behind her to round out the scoring in 105th (26:30.8).

The top five team scores were made up entirely of PSAC squads including in this order: Edinboro, Bloomsburg, Shippensburg, Lock Haven, and California. Kasey Jones (Edinboro) earned medalist honors with a time of 22:03.2 followed by Lauren Lehman (Bloomsburg) at 22:33.9 and Emma Sullivan (Edinboro) with a time of 22:43.9.
