GAME NOTES
· Millersville and Lock Haven enter Wednesday's game as two of the hotter teams in the PSAC. The Marauders have won five of the last seven and Lock Haven has won six of its last eight. Both of Millersville's losses in that stretch were by single digits on the road. Both of Lock Haven's losses were by a combined eight points. While the two teams are just six games into a 16-game Eastern Division schedule and play each other once more this season, Saturday's game is key for tiebreaker purposes as both teams are 3-3 and not only vying for a playoff spot but for possible home court in the first round. Lock Haven last won 10 games (10-17) in 2002-03. It's last winning record (13-13) came in 1995-96.

· Millersville leads the PSAC and ranks 11th in Division II in 3-pointers made per game at 10.2. The Marauders attempted a season-low 15 threes and made a season-low six against Cheyney, but it was the fifth time in the last six games that they hit at least 40 percent of its threes. After making just 29.6 percent in its 2-6 start, the Marauders have shot 42.4 while going 5-2 in the lst seven games. No player has been as hot as Tavon Parker, who has hit 21-of-44 (.477). Five different players have hit over 40 percent of their threes during the seven-game stretch. Tyree Smith has made 9-of-16 (.563). Millersville has attempted over 29 threes per game this season, putting it on pace to attempt 757, which would set a school record by  128. The record for makes is 216 (2000-01). This year's team is on pace for 265.

· Millersville has looked absolutely dominant at times over the last seven games. It led Cheyney by 22 points, Kutztown by 27, Edinboro by 42, Slippery Rock by 19 and California by 25. Finishing the games has been adventurous, though. Despite the large leads, Millersville's average margin of victory outside of the 28-point win over Edinboro has been just seven points. The Marauders' recent run has been helped by the addition of Carl Wallace and Kelvin Parker. While Wallace averaged just 5.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, he impacts the game significantly. In 80 minutes of playing time, Wallace is a team-best plus-34, which translates to plus-16.98 over 40 minutes. Jalen Lester is second on the team at plus-5.98 over 40 minutes. Kelvin ranks third with a plus-3.76 per game. Through three games, he's scored in double figures twice, has led the team in steals twice, rebounding and assists once.

· Success for the Marauder starts on defense. They are 1-4 when opponent scores 80 or more points and 0-4 when allowing opponents to shoot 50 percent. They are also 4-2 when generating at least 11 steals and 3-1 when forcing 20 turnovers.

· Fred Thompson has won 13 of 14 games against Lock Haven. Lock Haven's last win in the series came on Dec. 21, 2000.  Millersville is 42-5 against Lock Haven since 1952.

ABOUT LOCK HAVEN
· Lock Haven has come a long way in a short time under former Shippensburg assistant coach Mike Nestor. Just two seasons ago, Lock Haven posted an 0-25 record and went 1-24 in 2010-11.  Last season the team showed signs of improvement, going 6-19. This year's club is 10-6 and has gone 6-2 over its last eight games with single digit losses at West Chester and to nationally-ranked IUP.  The resurgence of Lock Haven hoops has been powered by Wali Hepburn.  Hepburn ranks second in the PSAC in scoring average at 22.5 points per game. He also leads the team with 55 assists. He was an All-PSAC West Second Team pick last season after averaging a school record 21.3 point sper game. He has led the team in scoring in 14 of 16 games so far. Kasheef Festus  provides an excellent second option. He leads the team in rebounding (7.3) and has three double-doubles this season.
