Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville women's swimming team competed in the South Florida Relays on Sunday afternoon against West Chester and Indiana (Pa.).
The Marauders finished in third place in two different events and fell 145-25 to the Golden Rams and 136-34 to Indiana.
Millersville's best performances came in the 400-yard freestyle relay and the 500-yard free relay. in the 500-free relay the group of Brigid Kavanaugh, Becca Anderson, Grace Magerr, and Amanda Thomas finished in third with a time of 5:06.66. The 400-free relay quartet of Kavanaugh, Anderson, Rachel Malampy, and Thomas finished in a time of 3:58.69 and in third place.
The foursome of Magerr, Anderson, Malampy, and Thomas finished in fifth place in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 8:33.56.
Millersville finished in fourth place in the 300-yard butterfly relay, 300-yard backstroke relay, 300-breaststroke relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, and 1,200-yard freestyle relay.
The Marauders return home for their final home meet of the season this Saturday, Jan. 18. Millersville will take on East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m. in Pucillo Natatorium.
