Women's Tennis Takes Down Bloomsburg

Millersville, Pa. – Millersville has had quite the start to its PSAC part of the schedule, winning two out of its first three matches in conference play after Saturday afternoon's win over Bloomsburg, 5-4.
 
The Marauders beat the Huskies for the first time since 2004-05 with large contributions from Melissa Plowman, Elizabeth Wagner and Tori Davis, who all won two matches each. Plowman won in the top singles slot by scores of 6-2, 6-1 over Aida Diop and paired up with Kelsey Waite for a doubles win over the Huskie tandem of Diop and Lindsey Tennis.
 
Wagner didn't allow Alyssa Liples to win a game, dropping Bloomsburg's third player in the lineup, 6-0, 6-0, while Davis grabbed a singles win over Tennis, 6-4, 6-4. Wagner and Davis formed the No. 2 doubles team, beating Natalie Greenholt and Nicole Slagle, 8-5.
 
The Marauders now have a week off before getting back in action next Saturday against West Chester. The match against the Golden Rams is slated to start at 12 p.m. at the McComsey Tennis Courts.
