Marauders End Trip to Hilton Head with Loss to Crimson Hawks

Hilton Head, S.C. - Playing in their final match during their spring break trip to Hilton Head, the Marauders couldn't come away with a win against Indiana (Pa.) Thursday, falling 9-0 to the Crimson Hawks.

During singles play, Millersville had just one player take more than two games in any of her sets. Nicole Daacke dropped a two-set loss to Erika Schnaas, 6-1, 6-3. In doubles play, only the pairing of Melissa Plowman and Kelsey Waite were able to manage a set victory, falling to Schnaas and Katie Eaton, 8-3. IUP was ranked 35th nationally heading into the match, and No. 2 in the region.

Millersville's loss drops the team to 3-7 on the year. The Marauders now have a five-day break until a matchup at home with Cheyney on Mar. 26, scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
