Marauders Handle Raiders to Set PSAC Tournament Rematch

Box Score Millersville, Pa. - If Wednesday night's regular season finale was any indication, the Millersville men's basketball team is primed for the postseason. Behind 26 points from Larry Grant and 25 from Anthony Coleman, the Marauders cruised to an 83-69 victory, setting up a rematch Saturday in the first round of the PSAC Tournament.

Millersville's (18-10, 14-8 PSAC) victory bumped Shippensburg (7-19, 5-17 PSAC) into the No. 6 seed and the two teams will play again on Saturday at Pucillo Gymnasium. Game time has yet to be announced.

Coleman, a Carlisle native, abused the Raiders for the second time this season. He has totaled 53 points in two games. He set the tempo for the Marauders, which took a 15-14 lead on a Coleman jumper 9:13 left in the first half. The Marauders never relinquished that lead. They finished the first half on a 10-1 run that included a dunk from Kyle Richardson in the final seconds. Coleman scored 12 of his points in the first half.

Grant made it a Senior Night to remember by owning the second half with 21 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and 10-of-12 shooting from the free throw line. Grant scored 19 consecutive Millersville points from the 9:58 mark to the 1:19 mark. During that time Millersville extended the lead to as many as 20.

Coleman and Grant combined to shoot 22-of-26 from the line. Grant also added six assists, giving him double-figures and at least five assists in each of the last three games. Coleman has scored in double-figures in nine of the last 10 games.

Shippensburg was led by 19 points and 10 assists from Reggie Charles.

Millersville enters its first PSAC Tournament since 2008 and hosts its first playoff game since 2007 Saturday. Check back to millersvilleathletics.com for the game time.
