GAME NOTES
· The Marauders already know they are hosting a PSAC Tournament game on Saturday at 7 p.m., but Shippensburg has much to play for Wednesday. Shippensburg has clinched a spot in the playoffs and with a win and Bloomsburg and Mansfield losses, the Red Raiders  will host a first round game. Shippensburg could land in the fourth, fifth or sixth seeds depending on the outcomes of Wednesday's games. Millersville and Shippensburg have met in Pucillo Gymnasium 10 times in the last 15 seasons, and Millersville holds a slight 6-4 edge in those meetings.

· With the Marauders suffering injuries to key players, guards Brandon Brown and Nate Bollinger have had to increase their scoring, and Larry Grant has had to increase his distribution. Grant has totaled 14 assists in the last two games and is averaging 4.6 assists over his last five games. Brandon Brown became the fifth Marauder to score 20 points in a game Saturday. He hit a career-high six 3-pointers. Brown would be a candidate for most improved player as he averaged 0.9 points, 0.3 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 5.2 minutes per game last seaosn. This year, has become the team's best 3-point shooter (33-for-99) and is averaging 6.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Brown's numbers have jumped recently. He's averaged 10.4 points over his last five games, shooting 12-of-27 from three. He's also recorded seven steals in the last three games. Similarly, Bollinger is heating up. He's scored 32 points in the last two games while shooting 7-of-16 from three.

· Millersville isn't an overpowering offensive club and needs its defense to shine to win. The Marauders are are 13-0 when they shoots a higher field goal percentage than their opponent but 0-3 when allowing teams to shoot better than 50 percent. Millersville is also 10-0 when holding teams to fewer than 60 points and 15-5 when holding teams to fewer than 70. But when allowing 80 or more, the Marauders are 0-4. Millersville ranks fifth in the PSAC in scoring defense, fourth in field goal percentage defense and third against the three.

· Larry Grant plays his final regular season game as a Marauder on Wednesday and while he's been with the club just two years, he's leaving quite an imprint on Millersville basketball. With 14.4 points and 3.1 assists per game, he is on pace to be the first player in school history to lead the team in both scoring and assists in back-to-back seasons. He is one of only 10 players in the last 50 years to lead a team in scoring and assists just once. He is currently one of only five players in the PSAC to rank in the top 20 of scoring, assists and steals.

· Elijah Obade already holds the Millersville single-season record for blocks in a season and with 140 blocks in  75 career games, he ranks fourth in career blocks. His average of 1.87 per game is second-best all-time behind only Antwine Moore, who totaled 159 blocks in 78 games. His 11.4 rebounds per game is the best average by a Marauder since 1970. He leads the PSAC in blocks, rebounding and double-doubles. He ranks fifth nationally in rebounds, eighth in blocks and 12th in double-doubles.

ABOUT SHIPPENSBURG
· Shippensburg is a much-improved team over the last month, winning three of its last six games and all three of the losses have been by single-digit margins. The Red Raiders knocked off nationally-ranked East Stroudsburg by 10 points on Feb. 16 but has since lost at West Chester by nine and to Cheyney by nine. Those two teams are arguably the hottest in the PSAC, though as Cheyney has won eight of 10 and West Chester has won nine of 10. Point guard Reggie Charles is coming into his own. He has scored at least 13 points in sevent-straight games and in 12 of 13. Charles also ranks second in the league in assists (4.8) but also leads the PSAC with 133 turnovers (5.3). Millersville didn't play against freshman Joe Lococo in the first meeting and since suffering a concussion, he has produced at the same level. Before the injury he had scored double-figures in 14 of 17 games. Since his return, he's averaged just 6.3 points per game.
