GAME NOTES
· Millersville is finding ways to win games lately. The team's last six wins have come by single-digit margins and after going to two overtimes with Kutztown, the Marauders staged a second-half comeback to beat Shippensburg 63-62 Wednesday night. The win improved the Marauders to 5-3 on the road and 5-2 on the road against PSAC foes. Millersville welcomes Mansfield to Pucillo Saturday and is looking to end an eight-game slide against the Mountaineers. Already assured a playoff spot, a win will give the Marauders their first winning season since 2007-08. The Marauders are 9-2 and holding opponents to 55.3 points and 35.7 percent shooting in home games. Mansfield has averaged 76.4 points per game in its eight-game winning streak over the Marauders. The two clubs are polar opposites. Millersville ranks 13th in the PSAC in scoring offense but third in scoring defense. Mansfield ranks ninth in scoring offense but 15th in scoring offense.
· Millersville's depth suffered a blow when it lost Brandon Belt and Xavier Mumford for the season. Belt was lost for the season with a knee injury following the West Chester game, and in the three games without him, the Marauders are averaging five fewer points per game. Mumford was the team's second-leading rebounder and shot-blocker while spelling starting center Elijah Obade. The duo averaged 40 minutes, 12.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 20 blocks and 26 steals.
· Anthony Coleman scored a season-high 28 points, including 22 in the second half , Wednesday at Shippensburg. Through the first 12 games of the season, Coleman was averaging just 8.3 points and 1.6 assists on 33.0 percent shooting. Since scoring 18 against Edinboro on Jan. 5, Coleman has scored in double figures in six of eight games and is averaging a team-best 15.0 points on 51.7 percent shooting and 2.6 assists per game. Coleman has not fared as well in Pucillo Gymnasium, though. He's averaging 9.3 points per game and shooting 33.7 percent at home compared to 13.6 points and 53.2 percent shooting on the road. Last season, he shot 54.7 percent in Pucillo. The Marauders are 7-2 this season when Coleman scores at least 10 points.
· Elijah Obade has totaled 29 rebounds in the last two games, keeping him tied for the Division II lead (11.9) with Dominykas Milka of Saint Rose. He also swatted four shots, keeping him as the PSAC leader and moving him within 15 of the Millersville record of 63 owned by Antwine Moore (1995-96). Only six players in Millersville history have averaged more than 2.0 blocks per game. Obade was one of them last season. No player has accomplished the feat in back-to-back seasons. If Obade maintains his 11.9 rebounding average, it would be the highest by a Marauder since 1970.
· Jaymes Miller has scored in double figures in all four of his career games against Mansfield, averaging 13.8 points per game on 55 percent shooting. He has also averaged 5.5 rebounds and 32 minutes of action against the Moutaineers. All of those averages are substantially better than his career averages of 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 23.6 minutes and 51.4 percent shooting.

ABOUT MANSFIELD
· Following four-point wins over Clarion and Lock Haven on Jan. 11-12, Mansfield has skidded to five consecutive defeats. Mansfield has surrendered at least 78 points in eight of its last nine games and is allowing 86.2 points per game during its current losing streak. At 77.0 points per game allowed, Mansfield ranks 15th in the PSAC in scoring defense, and opponents are shooting an incredible 47.1 percent from the field. That mark ranks 16th. The Marauders are well-aware of reigning PSAC East Freshman of the Year after he torched them for 34 points and 11 boards in Pucillo Gymnasium last season. Bell is one of only three players in the PSAC to rank in the top 10 in both scoring and rebounding.  Bell isn't the only player that can hurt the Marauders. Chuck Harper (12.8) and Charles BeCoats (11.3) are also averaging double-figures.
