GAME NOTES
· It may only be the third game of the season but Millersville opens PSAC Eastern Division play Wednesday at Bloomsburg. It has become one of the most competitive and intense rivalries in the PSAC East over the last five seasons. The two clubs have evenly split the last 10 meetings and only two of those games were decided by more double figures. Four of the games have gone into overtime and two have reached triple overtime. The home team has also won every game over the last 10 games. Bloomsburg won 100-94 in triple overtime last season despite trailing by as many as 19 in the second half. The average margin of victory over the last 10 games is just 6.3 points per game. Millersville is 10-5 in PSAC East openers in Fred Thompson and 6-4 on the road in division openers.

· With so many newcomers and the loss of Anthony Coleman late in the preseason, the Marauders are continuing to experiment with lineups and rotations. Eight different players have earned a start through two games and 10 different players are playing nine-plus minutes per game. The Marauders have received significant production off its bench. The Marauders' bench accounted for 53 of the team's 72 points in the opener, and it also provided 27 points--20 in the second half--in the comeback effort. Millersville's bench has outscored its opponents' bench by a 73-14 margin through two games.

· Millersville expected to be a more guard-oriented team this season, and that has translated into more 3-pointers attempted. Millersville leads the PSAC in 3-pointers attempted per game with 31--six more than East Stroudsburg, which ranks No. 2.  However, the Marauders have made only 18 of those, placing them 11th in the league in percentage. Consequently, Millersville has been outscored in the paint by a wide margin in each of the first two games. Millersville is averaging 24 points in the paint while its opponents average 41.

· Millersville certainly hopes for a fast start on Wednesday. Millersville has been outscored a combined 69-53 and shot just 30.7 percent from the field in the first half of games this season. Millersville has trailed at the half in both games, but responded to take leads by scoring at least 40 points in both second periods.

· Xavier Mumford may have only two points and one attempted shot to his credit this season, but he is controlling the glass and the defensive interior by averaging 13.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game. Mumford pulled down a career-high 15 boards against Rutgers-Camden and has totaled at least 12 in each game. He also swatted four shots. Among PSAC players with at least two games played, Mumford is first in rebounding and tied for first in blocked shots.

ABOUT THE HUSKIES
· Bloomsburg was picked to finish fourth in the PSAC East Preseason Poll and is coming off back-to-back PSAC Tournament appearances for the first time in 11 years. Bloomsburg returns its top five scorers from last season including All-PSAC East Preseason selection Dontahe Jordan. Millersville is all too familiar with Jordan, who is entering his fourth year as a starter with the Huskies. In six career games against the Marauders, Jordan is averaging 20.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game with three games of at least two points and at least seven boards in each game. He torched the Marauders for 29 points in the last meeting. Jordan is off to another great start, winning PSAC East Athlete of the Week honors after scoring 34 points against Lincoln. He made 14-of-16 free throws, grabbed nine boards and totaled four steals.
