GAME NOTES
· A November meeting between Millersville and Wilmington is becoming a tradition. It is the third consecutive season that the two teams have met early in the season and the fifth time since Fred Thompson has been head coach at Millersville. Thompson holds a 3-1 record against the Wildcats with that lone loss coming by an 80-77 score  on the road in 2011. Brandon Brown and Anthony Coleman were members of that team. Last season, Millersville managed its lowest-ever point total against the Wildcats with just 55 points on 31.8 percent shooting. Millersville averaged 88.3 points per game in the first three meetings under Thompson.

· Millersville suffered a significant blow last week when Anthony Coleman suffered an ankle injury that is likely season-ending. Coleman was the team's best player over the final month of 2012-13, averaging 17.0 points per game and shooting 51.1 percent from the field against the PSAC East. With his absence from the lineup, the Marauders must now replace 75.6 percent of its scoring. Larry Grant, Coleman, Elijah Obade and Jaymes Miller accounted for nearly 65 percent of Millersville's points last season. The top returning scorer is now Brandon Brown, who averaged 6.3 points per game. Millersville's roster includes eight newcomers.

· Millersville won 19 games last season, marking the seventh season of at least 17 wins under Fred Thompson. Millersville is looking for back-to-back PSAC Tournament appearances and back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2006-07 and 2007-08.
Thompson owns 239 wins at Millersville and is aiming to becoming just the third coach in school history to win 250 games. Thompson is the active leader in wins among PSAC East coaches.

· Elijah Obade was Millersville's force in the middle last season, leading the PSAC in blocked shots and rebounding, and setting a school record for blocked shots. Xavier Mumford has a chance to challenge Obade's record and win another defensive player of the year award for Millersville. Despite averaging only 20 minutes per game in 2012-13, he ranked eighth in the PSAC in blocks and second on the team in steals with 42.

· Herbert Dennis is Wilmington's leading scorer through three games this season, but the Marauders held him in check last season. He shot 1-of-10 from the field, 0-of-5 from three and committed five turnovers. Dennis scored 16 points and added six assists in Wilmington's 2011 win.

ABOUT WILMINGTON
· Mike Gallagher is in his fifth season at Wilmington and owns a 34-73 record after a 6-20 record last season and an 0-2 start to this season. Wilmington opened in the Bentley Tip-Off Tournament and lost to Merrimack by an 84-71 score despite leading by four points at the half. Herbert Dennis led the Wildcats with 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Bentley dealt the Wildcats a 90-50 loss the next day. Dennis led the Wildcats in scoring again with 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting. Through the first two games, Wilmington is shooting 36.1 percent from the field while allowing opponents to shoot 50.4 percent. Teams are also hitting 45.2 percent of its threes and out-rebounding the Wildcats by a 44.5-30.0 average.
· Dennis ranked second on the team in scoring last season at 12.8 points per game and also led the team with 116 assists. Dusan Kojic and Shai Henry are the only other players back that started games in 2012-13.
