GAME NOTES
· Millersville would like to quickly erase the memories of scoring just 13 points in the first half and falling by 16 at East Stroudsburg Wednesday. Kutztown enters the game having lost eight in a row including seven by eight points or more. The Marauders are also back in Pucillo Gymnasium where they are 8-2 and allowing a mere 54.0 points per game and 35.4 percent  shooting. Seven of the Marauders' last nine games were against teams with above .500 records, and they went 3-4 against those teams. They are 9-1 against teams with sub-.500 records and the lone loss was in the season opener.
· Wednesday's loss marked just the third time that Millersville has lost by 10 or more points this season, but since dropping the first two games of the season, Millersville has not lost consecutive games. The Marauders are 4-1 in games following losses, and all four wins have come at home. In those wins, the Marauders are allowing just 55.5 points and 36.2 percent shooting.
· Millersville's bench has been a key component to its success, averaging 18.4 points per game and 27 percent of the team's total scoring. The bench has averaged 20.9 points in the team's 12 wins but just 13.3 points in the six losses. Using plus/minus statistics, Millersville's most productive lineup (+54.48 over a pro-rated 40 minutes) includes Elijah Obade, Xavier Mumford, Nate Bollinger, Brandon Brown and Kemar Williams. Not including Obade, the group has just seven career starts.
· After leading the team in rebounding in 14 of the first 15 games, Elijah Obade has averaged just 6.3 rebounds and just over one block in the last three. He continues to lead Division II and the PSAC in rebounding, but his lead for the league's top spot is just 0.4 per game over Slippery Rock's Devin Taylor.  Obade grabbed at least three offensive rebounds in eaach of the first nine games but has only had more than two offensive boards twice in the last nine games. Obade also has five blocks in the last five games after averaging 3.0 per game over the first 13 games. Using plus/minus statistics, Obade is the team's most valuable player. When he is on the floor, the Marauders have outscored opponents 941-834 (+107) for an average of +5.94 points per game--the highest on the team. Only Larry Grant (+5.11) and Brandon Belt (+5.06) have a plus/minus higher than +4.0 per game.
· Saturday is the 200th meeting between Millersville and Kutztown. Millersville has played no opponent more. Millersville ended Kutztown's seven-game winning streak last season, but since 2004-05, Kutztown has won 13 of 16 meetings.  Fred Thompson started his career 11-2 against the Golden Bears but is now 14-15. From 2007-08 through 2010-11, Kutztown was at the height of its PSAC East run, going 104-42 overall, 55-21 against the league and winning the PSAC East three times. Millersville won two of three in 2007-08, but from 2008-09 through 2011-12, the Marauders went 37-68 overall and 19-45 against the league.

ABOUT KUTZTOWN
· With a 3-15 record, Kutztown is assured its first losing season since Coach Bernie Driscoll's second year of 2001-02. Over the previous 10 seasons, Kutztown has averaged 18.8 wins per season and reached the PSAC Tournament nine times. This season, Kutztown's lone wins have come against Wilmington, Shippensburg and Lock Haven--all of which have sub .500 records. Two of the team's wins came on the road, however. Defense is an issue for the Golden Bears, ranking 13th in the PSAC at 75.2 points per game allowed. They also rank 14th in field goal percentage defense and 3-point field goal percentage defense. The Marauders must lock up Micah Fraction, who ranks fourth in the league in scoring at 19.7 points per game. He's been on a tear lately, totaling 56 points in his last two games and averaging 26.8 over his last five games. He has eight games of at least 20 points. In addition to playing the most minutes in the PSAC this season (662), he's taken the fourth-most shots and attempted the third-most free throws.
