Box Score East Stroudsburg, Pa. - For the first 20 minutes of Wednesday's clash between Millersville and East Stroudsburg, the homestanding Warriors flexed some muscle and looked every bit of the PSAC's best team. For the second 20 minutes, Millersville looked like a contender, but after committing 16 turnovers and scoring just 13 first-half points against a whithering ESU press, the Marauders had little hope of pulling off the win and ultimately fell, 68-52.
After falling behind by 19 in last season's meeting at Kohler Fieldhouse, Millersville (12-6, 8-4 PSAC) knew it needed to handle the East Stroudsburg (14-2, 10-1 PSAC) pressure defense and start quickly. It did neither. The 13-point output in the first half matched the low in
Fred Thompson's 15-year tenure. For nearly 13 minutes,
Jaymes Miller's three field goals were all the Marauders could manage. Terrance King scored on a putback to put the Marauders down by 24 at the half. The team finished with just five field goals in the first half.
Millersville had trailed by double-digits but came back to take the lead four times already in 2012-13. Despite Millersville's furious efforts, East Stroudsburg held on to its lead throughout. After falling behind by as many as 26, Millersville went on a 20-4 run that cut ESU's lead to 45-35 with 12:46 remaining.
Elijah Obade made two free throws at the 9:31 mark to cut the deficit to nine, but the Marauders could get no closer.

Larry Grant added 11 off the bench. Millersville committed more than 20 turnovers for just the second time this season with a season-most 25. ESU took advantage and converted the miscues into 18 points. Millersville's guard play also suffered without
Brandon Belt, who missed the game with an injury.
East Stroudsburg, off to its best PSAC start in school history at 11-1, was led by 17 points from Whis Grant.
