West Chester Edges Millersville

Millersville, Pa. - Three wins at the top of the singles lineup was not enough for the Millersville men's tennis team Saturday at McComsey Tennis Courts. Visiting West Chester edged the Marauders by a 5-4 score.

Millersville (1-8, 0-3 PSAC) recieved wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles, but West Chester dominated the bottom portion of the lineup, getting just what it need to improve to 8-8 overall and 2-2 in league play. The win keeps West Chester in playoff position as the No. 4 seed.

Millersville's No. 1 singles player Preetham Moras cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Connor Dunn. He also paired with Jody Sambrick Jr. for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.

Henry Ben won easily in the No. 2 spot, defeating Chaz Irwin, 6-0, 6-1. Sambrick notched his second point of the day by defeating Andrew Peterson 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 slot.

Millersville has two PSAC matches left in the season--both at home. The Marauders host Edinboro on Friday, April 13 and Mercyhurst the following day.
