Bloomsburg, Pa. - Bloomsburg opened PSAC East action by dispatching the visiting Millersville women's tennis team 8-1 Friday evening. The Marauders' lone win came from Kelsey Waite and Elizabeth Wagner in doubles action.

Millersville (3-9, 1-1 PSAC East), now even at 1-1 in the PSAC East, lost a handful of close matches in singles but could not manage a point. In the No. 3 slot, Waite dropped a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 decision to Danielle Walsh.

Waite evened the score with Walsh in doubles with the help of Wagner. The No. 2 team improved to 4-7 on the season with an 8-6 victory over Walsh and Erin Reitenauer. Bloomsburg's Michelle Perez and Emily Palko handed Melissa Plowman and Samantha Prager just their fourth loss of the season. The Marauder duo fell to 8-4 on the season with an 8-3 loss Friday.

Millersville returns to McComsey Tennis Courts Saturday morning at 11 a.m. against Shippensburg.
