THE STARTING FIVE
(1) Millersville's 81-70 loss Saturday at West Chester was likely the crushing blow to its playoff hopes. It now trails the Golden Rams by three games with six to play. The Marauders now host rival Cheyney, which is struggling through this season with a 3-17 record. Just one year ago, the Wolves played for the PSAC Championship. Cheyney has lost five in a row and 13 of 14 dating back to Dec. 4. On Jan. 16, Millersville edged Cheyney 78-76 by rallying from five points down with under a minute to go. Demond Vance made a 3-pointer to tie the game and after a Cheyney turnover, Larry Grant converted a three-point play to give Millersville the win. The Marauders were led by Jaymes Miller's 21 points. Grant had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

(2) Elijah Obade totaled 22 rebounds and five blocks in two games last week He has 10 or more rebounds in five consecutive games and in 12 of 19 this season. He's also blocked four shots five times. His 17 points and 12 boards against West Chester gave him his sixth double-double of the season. Obade ranks third in the PSAC in rebounding (9.6 per game), trailing on Devin Taylor of Slippery Rock and Eric Brennan of Kutztown. He is one of just four players in the PSAC to average more than 9.0 per game. Obade also holds the PSAC lead in blocked shots (2.4). He leads Tyler Brooks of Kutztown by 0.6 per game.

(3) Larry Grant scored 24 against West Chester, giving him five 20-point games. That's the most by a Marauder since Reggie Bates totaled 15 and Charlie Parker totaled 10 in 2007-08. Grant has led the team in scoring eight times but only once in the last nine games.  Oddly, the Marauders are 1-7 when Grant leads the team in scoring. In those eight games he averaged 20.6 points and shot 48 percent from the field.

(4) Mike Seibert's last 3-pointer was the 147th of his career, which moved him past Jim McClintock into ninth place in school history. He now trails Kevin Towns (1992-96) by four for eighth place. Seibert has made 191-of-232 career foul shots. His 82.3 percent shooting places him just ahead of MU Hall of Fame inductee Lance Gelnett for best all-time.

(5) The two-point game between Millersville and Cheyney earlier this year was nothing new to the rivalry. During Fred Thompson's tenure, 18 of 27 games have been decided by no more than 10 points. Three of the games went into overtime. Cheyney has won three of the last four at Pucillo Gymnasium dating back to 2007-08. In the last 20 visits to Pucillo, Cheyney is 7-13, though. The last time Millersville swept Cheyney in a season was 2006-07.

THE WOLVES
·    Cheyney is coming off an 82-72 loss to Bloomsburg in which Jason Saab registered his second double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Saab leads Cheyney in scoring, rebounding and assists. He scored 29 points and grabbed nine boards in the first meeting. He is tied for the PSAC lead in scoring with Kutztown's Devon McBride. Brandon Baylor is also a scoring threat with 16.5 points per game. He ranks ninth in the PSAC. Cheyney is the only team two have two players ranked in the top 10 in scoring.
·    Cheyney's biggest issue is on the defensive end. It ranks 16th in scoring defense, allowing 79.8 points per game. It also ranks last in field goal percentage defense, allowing teams to shoot 51.3 percent from the field.
·    Cheyney has won at least 15 games each year since 2004-05. That was the team's last losing season. That year, the Wolves went 4-20. Similar to this year, the 2004-05 team was one year removed from a PSAC semifinal and NCAA Tournament apperance.
